looking for software to use at events

Hello there!

We are trying to find some data options for events. Specifically a software product that takes donations and has a scoreboard functionality so as a donor gives a gift their name would appear on the scoreboard.

Does anyone use anything like this?

Joanne, We use a non-Blackbaud product, OneCause, for our auctions and things like this. The scoreboard functionality has worked great for us. OC offers features we don't get in BB events.

This is our second year using OneCause for our events, auctions, raffles, etc and have found that it works really well and is reasonably priced for an annual subscription. Prior to OneCause, we used GiveSmart and liked that one as well. It is definitely impossible to run an auction, gala or other type of event in Blackbaud. Once the event is over, we will bring over all of the information from OneCause into Raiser's Edge. This allows us to change event software if needed without losing history. Our one source of truth is Raiser's Edge.

We use GiveSmart and love it. It is not a Blackbaud product so you have to manually update donor records with giving/purchases that are recorded in GiveSmart. I personally don't mind taking the extra time to update donor records and my job also provides me with the time to do it, but I know that isn't the case for everyone.

thanks everyone for your replies! We are currently using OneCause but were not happy with how the donor has to fill out all this info to enter a donation (though I think using the one click link - both text and email - might help). And that the scoreboard does not list the amount (i.e. it just lists the donor name but not the amount of their gift). I'll look into GiveSmart to see what that functionality is like
