I see the Fundraiser ID - any one know the easiest way to convert the ID to the fundraiser name in an Action List?

Hi @Reuben Schmitz - You'll need to utilize a “Get a Constituent” action with the system ID of the Fundraiser from the action. Check out this recent post for more information on how to utilize a system ID to get additional dynamic content in your flow - System Record ID is my new best friend.

  • Austen, Thanks for the quick response. I did see that previous post about IDs and know where to find the ID of the Solicitor for the Action, but am unsure how to configure the flow to replace the Action Fundraiser ID with the name. The custom saluation example doesn't really address this.

Hi Reuben - By utilizing the System Record ID, across the board for all record types, you can bring additional content into your flow. Specifically related to your question, here is how you can bring the Fundraiser's Name into your flow - as with all things Power Automate it is going to take more steps that you think it will.

Following your the action “RE NXT Interactions Connector: List Actions” you will need to add at least two additional actions to your flow:

    • RE NXT Interactions Connector: Get a constituent action - in the Action ID field, bring in the dynamic content of “ID” (Action System ID) from the action to List actions.
    • RE NXT Constituents Connector: Get a constituent - in the Constituent ID field bring in the dynamic content of “Fundraiser(s) Items” (Fundraiser System ID/s) from the action to Get a constituent action.

See detail above for more info.

If you have actions within your RE NXT action list that do not have a fundraiser listed, you may get a failed flow when trying to run them through this set-up. If that is the case, you will likely need to put a conditional between “Get a constituent action” and “Get a constituent” actions to separate out any that do not have a fundraiser listed.
