Event units not reducing correctly

Options

We have run into a problem with units in our events module not reducing the number of remaining spaces accurately. Single tickets and tables of 10 are both being counted as 1 single unit (rather than 10 for the table) and only reduces the total number of spaces left by 1. This can lead to oversubscription of events. We are currently having to manually reduce the total units every time a table or group booking is made. Would love to know if anyone else is having this problem and if there is a way to fix this, thanks.

Hi @Jaidan Mason - Would you be willing to share a link to the event form that is currently being used to register participants for your event?

We are setting up our first Gala and noticing the same thing. Please let me know if you were able to find a workaround. I'm scouring the internet for something…

@Jaidan Mason - so this is a bit of a work around that we are doing.

    1. Tables are handled via (don't faint) donation forms
    2. Tickets are handled via event form
    3. For those who purchase a table, we then create a special event registration form for that specific host that allows for the total number of guests (2 tables of 10 would = form capacity of 20); we then send that specific URL link to the table host and ask them to share with their guests to complete each registration.

I realize this probably would not work for an extremely large event, but we've been able to manage our events this way since 2019.

PS, we then use the seating chart based on which registration form was used, which you can see in the “work with participants” tile
