Custom Letter Template

Good morning,

I am using the template given in a skills lab for the automated acknowledgement letters but customizing to fit my organizations need. We usually include the fund name and reference (comments in web view) in our letter, but that doesn't seem like that is an option when adding a new item through the NXT connection in the flow. Any thoughts?

  • I'm having the same problem. It doesn't look like it pulls from the Addressee/Salutation configuration of donors either…

  • There is a new Connector now available that I believe can fix this. Blackbaud had a Skills Lab training session this afternoon - the recording with the updated instructions should be available soon (perhaps tomorrow?). Addressee and Salutation aren't available fields on the original Blackbaud connector - you will need the Blackbaud Constituents connector.

  • Addressees/ Salutations are called name formats and are now available in the Connector. See the call here:

    You might find value in the Unique Fund letter workflow, as it may more accurately reflect your organization's business requirements.

    Funds can become tricky if you allow for split gifts across multiple funds.

  • Hi Heather, I have my flow working, however, for the salutation we use the informal1 in the other name formats. I don't see this field and used first name, and it's only pulling over the primary donors firstname and not their spouses - would get constituent name format summary resolve this?
  • I have this working now. I added the new connector and I'm able to add the spouse's first name.
