Setting up a raffle

Options

Hi, thanks for any feedback/thoughts anyone may have! We need to create a link to buy raffle tickets, and we can't to so through the donation form because it'll show up on the purchaser's tax receipt as a donation when it's not. If we used the event ticket forms, the purchaser would have to enter their information over and over, as you have to add registrant information when for every single item in the cart. Has anyone used a method for raffles that they like? Thanks again!

  • Hi @Jordan Wiseman . I'd be happy to help you with tips to set up your page. Here is a current raffle that we have going on if you want to check out our page. Send me an email if you have any more specific questions! Beth.Gibney@atlanticare.org

  • @Beth Gibney, I like the way your form is set up for the raffle. Can I ask how you do your back end, i.e. pick the winning ticket? We have done a couple of raffles now and have used our event software for the raffle because it automatically creates the raffle tickets and/or auto picks a winner. Would love to move the raffle ticket purchase form into RE but we have always gotten stuck on how to actually do the tickets. Thanks!

  • Hi @Carrie Aranda ! Sure, depending on which event manager is running the raffle, we have a couple of different ways. One of our event coordinators prefers to hand write the tickets, mail the stub to the purchaser, and put the other stub in a bucket to be drawn on the final day. The other coordinator emails the tickets versus mailing them. Either way, on the final day, we usually have our CEO/President pull the winning ticket during a facebook live event!
