Error importing Acknowledgement Letter Power Automate Flow

Options

I'm trying to import the acknowledgement letter power automate flow, but when I do, I keep on getting the following error

ef68acf8434d49db78bf27012206fe4c-huge-fl

When I click the information button to see what the error is, I get the following error code:

"Flow save failed with code 'MultipleErrorsOccurred' and message 'The dynamic operation request to API 'wordonlinebusiness' operation 'GetFileSchema' failed with status code 'BadRequest'. This may indicate invalid input parameters. Error response: { "status": 400, "message": "The selected file doesn't exist, please select a valid file and drive.\\r\\nclientRequestId: 8d28296f-c549-4444-8ba4-f3ac43e7cdcb", "error": { "message": "The selected file doesn't exist, please select a valid file and drive." }, "source": "wordonlinebusiness-wus.azconn-wus-01.p.azurewebsites.net" };The dynamic operation request to API 'wordonlinebusiness' operation 'GetFileSchema' failed with status code 'BadRequest'. This may indicate invalid input parameters. Error response: { "status": 400, "message": "The selected file doesn't exist, please select a valid file and drive.\\r\\nclientRequestId: 8d28296f-c549-4444-8ba4-f3ac43e7cdcb", "error": { "message": "The selected file doesn't exist, please select a valid file and drive." }, "source": "wordonlinebusiness-wus.azconn-wus-01.p.azurewebsites.net" }'."

I know that my Word Online Business Connection is good, so I don't know why I would be getting this error. As a matter of fact, the attempted import shows that the connection is indeed good, but I still get this failure.

Anyone have any advice here?

  • To demonstrate, this is the result I get when importing the flow:

    c21fbe837b9bb734ff86bc931716586c-huge-fl

The connectors are fine, and I tried to import the flow as new, but I still get a failure.

  • I am getting the same error messages. All of my connections work too. I cannot move forward until this error message is resolved.

  • If you scroll to the top of the page, you should see an option to Save as a new flow.

    6044913d27ad95f9a9dff472e950f14a-huge-im

Click on that and it should allow you to continue.

  • I tried saving it as a new flow several times and keep encountering the same error.

  • I'm having the same issue. Has anyone found a fix for this?

  • Please download the most recent version of the template and try again.

  • I received the same exact error.

  • I am receiving the same error. Has anyone figured out how to work around it?

  • If someone who has been successful importing this flow, please post screen shots of the actions inside so we could rebuild the flow without importing.

  • If the import setup is create as new, you may have an error message at the top of the page that includes Next steps. The last step has a link for “Save as a new flow” (highlighted below). Click on that and it should import fine.

  • That third bullet doesn't appear for me. I have tried this on multiple imports and the ones that have a Word connection all error with the same error.

  • However, if you could show me what the actions are inside the flow, I don't mind rebuilding it myself. The error seems to be in the Word connection and is either in the packaged flow or something in my environment.

  • This is exactly my situation too and it's reassuring to know that it's not just me and on my end. I would love to be able to see the steps in the flow so I can rebuild and make it my own since the import won't work.

  • I have done as you suggest, however the same error message comes up, I am not getting Encodian coming up in the list of related resources, however I have connected it. Can you offer a solution please? I have done the initial steps and created tests that have worked.

  • Did you find a solution? This is the error code I am getting, I do not have the 3rd option to save as new in the next steps;

  • I just kept trying over a couple of days and it eventually gave me the third option to save as new and was able to get it to work that way.

  • Vance Smith - Do you know if you did anything different to get that third option to finally show up? Did you redownload the source file or continue to use the same one?
Can you post screen shots of the flow so that it could be rebuilt?

  • I think I redownloaded the file but it was just one day later. I don't know if that would have made a difference.

Here are screenshots of the workflow. There is a lot going on here. I got it working in a test scenario. I would be happy to answer any questions if the screenshots are not sufficient.

  • Vance Smith - would you be able to post a link to your template or share it please so we can see if that would work so others having the same issue can progress..

  • I got the same error when using your file. However, thanks for screenshotting the flow, that is super helpful. One question on this, for the condition, for the if yes, the rest of the steps belong in that path? Thanks again.

  • That is what the logic is doing but instead of putting all the steps in the “yes” branch, they are just manually terminating the flow in the “no” branch. Either way would have the same result.

  • Having the same errors, even after trying to import the latest template… any solutions?

  • Any word on this?

  • Hi @Jarrell Dunson - Check out this recent post, it covers a possible solution to importing flow errors. Additionally, if that doesn't work try putting your browser in incognito mode and then importing the flow.

  • @Edward Linders Have you or anyone actually resolved this problem, or has everyone just given up? I'm new to it and have done the whole song and dance via incognito mode and followed Austen's instructions and am still not able to save. Trying to decide if it is worth more pain/suffering (and time!)

  • @Dan Snyder Hi Dan, I am replying to this very old post from January '22. This may be the third summer in a row that I am attempting to automate acknowledgments (which is sad I know). Is there a different place I should start ( lol, re-start )? I am still receiving the error discussed in this post. Using instructions from https://docs.blackbaud.com/microsoft-connectors-docs/microsoft-power-platform/power-automate/acknowledgement-tutorial/acknowledgement-webview.

I want to start with Simple Merge although I am hoping to accomplish Conditional. If there is an updated place to start, if you could point me in the right direction, I would be very appreciative.

  • @Margaret Carr Whenever you are importing flows and are getting errors, first check to see if the save as a new flow button shows up with the error (screenshot in the Jan. '22 post on this thread). If that is not there, try importing the flow while in an incognito window or a new browser.

In terms of resources, I think Blackbaud has several good resources around Power Automate acknowledgment letters here.
