Issues with customized confirmation page

We were looking forward to adding a custom confirmation page for RENXT events. However, after having trouble with it, I have learned via a Support ticket that it cannot accept a URL with a slash. So, no vanity URLs or subpages, e.g. thesca.org/thank-you. How then is this option customizable? Where would one link to? Thanks for any feedback.

Would it support the use of subdomains? You could possible use thankyou.thesca.org instead of thesca.org/thankyou if that's the case. Would just be a matter of setting up that thank you subdomain rather than the directory page with the slash.
