SUMMARY

Advancement Associate, Member Services and CRM serves as the point of contact for Museum members. Enters and maintains membership data, including Ennion and Fellows, ensuring accuracy of the data in the Museum’s database. Provides high quality customer service to members and guests via telephone, in person and electronically to ensure a superior membership experience. Works with the Manager of Individual and Planned Giving to implement membership activities, including acquisition strategies, member records maintenance, and administrative duties. Serves as Advancement’s representative to frontline management. Facilitates internal logistics for advancement events.

Works closely with the Manager, Individual and Planned Giving and the Constituent Relationship Program Manager and Strategist on all Advancement-related CRM work including logistics, data flow, development of standard operating procedures, gift processing, and membership reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a customer-service environment preferably in Advancement and/or member services.
  • Experience at a non-profit and/or arts and cultural institution preferred.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams and SharePoint software products.
  • Experience with point of sale (POS) systems and CRM databases (Raiser’s Edge, Sales Force) desired; experience with Counterpoint POS system, Outbound reservation system or Artifax a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; works effectively and professionally with people at all levels, including high-end donors and other external stakeholders.
  • Successfully handles multiple projects and tasks; resourceful mindset and flexible.
  • Highly accurate, detail oriented and organized; focused on follow-up.
  • Capable of gathering raw information and data and documenting findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Some evenings, weekends and holidays and weekends required; flexibility in hours necessary.
