Multi-event weekend - how do we deal with different guests being invited to different events?

We have an event coming up in September, and there are 3 different meals/events happening across the weekend. Friday is a small, intimate gathering of friends. Saturday is a larger, more formal gathering of those friends plus major donors. Sunday is a public event where we expect some combination of people from the Friday/Saturday group to also attend.


If we use online registration forms (that's not a certainty yet), what is the best scheme to set up our event records and forms? There are a couple of issues we are running into:
  1. We don't want Sunday registrants to be able to see/access Friday/Saturday's registration.
  2. We'd like to avoid making Friday/Saturday guests register on a separate form for Sunday's event.
Everything is free, so fees aren't an issue.


What I really want is something like an online wedding RSVP. Where invited guests can go to a URL that covers the whole weekend and lookup their invitation. And we'd be able to control their individual invitation with what specific events they are invited to.


I'm hoping this community can help me think through this conundrum!

  • Can you do a form per group of people?
    1. Friends - with options for all 3 days
    2. Major donors - with options for Sat/Sun
    3. Public - just Sunday
    We don't have the web view donations forms here in the UK, but I have a dim memory from a webinar or training session that you are able to set up multiple forms for a single event (where the single event is the whole weekend)?
