The Advancement Services Manager reports to the Director of Advancement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior.
  • Believe that the Bible is God's Word and standard for faith and daily living.
  • Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school's Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.
  • Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. This includes being committed to God's Biblical standards for sexual conduct (Luke 6:40).
  • Be an active participant at a local, evangelical church that has a statement of faith in agreement with the school's Statement of Faith.
  • User-knowledge of donor/constituent management database systems (Blackbaud Raisers Edge preferred) and the ability to work with systems administrators and programmers.
  • Experience in organizational advancement & fundraising.
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Ability to work in a content management system
  • Experience in creating/editing images with Adobe Photoshop software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and see them through to timely completion
  • Strong work ethic and proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to use tact, discretion, and good judgement in working with individuals, situations, and with confidential information
  • Strong communicator, specifically in both verbal and written communication skills.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  1. Works with the Advancement Director to provide support with TCS Advancement activities and mailings. Will take a lead role in planning and coordination of Advancement Events. Helps to maintain accurate and current records of all gifts received and sees that all contributors are appropriately thanked. Prepares and maintains a complete up-to-date file of names, address and other pertinent information on all donors or potential donors via Raisers Edge Software

  2. Performs other duties assigned by the Advancement Director and the Superintendent.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Event Management:

  1. TC Giving Day planning & coordination (annual)

  2. TC Annual Golf Outing planning & coordination

  3. Auction Coordination (Bi-annual)

  4. TC Fundraising Dinner Coordination (Bi-annual)

  5. Assist with leading and managing various smaller scale Fundraising Events

  6. Assists with major capital fundraising drives as directed by the Advancement Director, the Superintendent and the Advancement & Stewardship Committee.

  7. Help to solicit and Onboard volunteers for fundraising events and activities.

Stewardship & Database Management:

  1. Assist Advancement Director with Estate Planning solicitation, follow-up, and tracking.

  2. Attend Training and/or Advanced Raiser’s Edge Training

  3. Work with TC’s Marketing and Communication staff to create and manage online donation and event registration forms

  4. Manage the production and distribution of reports to support Development & Alumni Engagement efforts as well as other administrative departments.

  5. Work closely with the Business Office regarding the creation of new funds, documentation of pledges, and exchanging financial data for a variety of purposes

  6. Prepare the memorial, honor, and wills and estate gift lists for the Reflector magazine

  7. Work with the Advancement, Marketing, and Business Office to cultivate potential donors and effectively use Raiser’s Edge platform to assist with prospect identification.

Communications & Administration:

  1. Part of “Think Tank” and Idea generation with Marketing & Advancement Directors

  2. Assist with preparation for Advancement & Stewardship Committee & Attend Mtgs

  3. Assists with receipting and “thank you” letters

  4. Explores and writes grant proposals as needed

  5. Scheduling meetings with Current & Prospective Donors

  6. Work with Marketing Director & Advancement Director in developing Advancement materials/brochures

  7. Help with leading social media efforts in the areas of Marketing, Advancement and Alumni
