Development Coordinator

Reports to: Manager, Development

Supervises: n/a

Job Summary


Reporting to the Manager, Development, the Development Coordinator will work closely with Marketing and Communications, Fund Development and Local Alzheimer Society team members to:


• Ensure best practices are utilized to maximize fundraising efforts

• Ensure a donor-centered online fundraising experience

• Provide information, support and coaching to Local Societies

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Online Fundraising Support

• Pull data from the provincial peer-to-peer fundraising websites including third party event website and Walk for Alzheimer’s website (TeamRaiser)

• Audit and update third party event website content

• Provide technical support and coaching for staff in 29 Local Alzheimer Society offices throughout the province, event participants, and donors

• Develop, analyze, and distribute timely and appropriate reports as required, including key performance metrics


Provincial Fundraising Support

• Provide provincial coordination of Alzheimer Society events and provide information and support to Local Societies

• Manage third party event relationships established through the third-party event website

• Participate in Alzheimer Society committees, i.e., Walk for Alzheimer’s National Committee

• Fulfill requests from the tribute programs including wedding donation program, and memorial giving program

• Support the Manager, Development in fundraising

• Input offline donations

• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications


Education:

• University Degree or relevant post-secondary education


Experience:

• One to two years’ experience in online peer-to-peer fundraising

• One to two years’ experience in donor and stakeholder relations


Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

• Experience with online fundraising platforms, i.e., TeamRaiser, Raisers Edge

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially web writing

• Friendly and professional speaking voice with strong phone etiquette

• Organizational, planning and time management skills, including handling multiple, concurrent issues and tasks

• High degree of professionalism and integrity

• Demonstrated attention to detail

• Ability to use discretion, judgment, and tact in handling sensitive/confidential information/ situations

• Dynamic, self-motivated person who has the ability to work unsupervised whilst also being a team player

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) an asset
