Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees collection efforts for the Foundation to obtain payments from donors who are delinquent on their pledge payments. To accomplish this, the Donor Relations Specialist will work with Chief Development Officer, Pledge Review Committee members, donors, fundraisers, and other staff members
  • Proficient on computer, especially in Microsoft Office suite
  • Consistently demonstrates ability to organize work, recognize and establish priorities and complete work without creating backlogs
  • Maintains a high level of productivity while maintaining accuracy
  • Staff person for Pledge Review Committee by following-up with committee members on their delinquent donor assignments.
  • Schedule may include evening events to build relationships with donors
  • Works with Operations Director on ensuring systems are in place for Accounts Receivable, Collections and Delinquent Donors
  • Works with Development Officers on the Physician Allied Fundraising program by researching and managing lists of prospective donors through extensive use of excel
  • Develop quarterly update on cash projections broken down by pledge payments and other cash
  • Research to find current contact information for donors who have invalid address/phone number/email
  • Work with Senior Accountant to verify restated pledges
  • Work toward restatement of pledges after consistent payment from donor
  • Keep a log in Raiser’s Edge of all contact with donors
  • Maintain list of delinquent donors, including last payment date, last payment amount, payment schedule
  • Contact delinquent donors (by phone, email, etc.) to obtain payments
  • Contact donors with expired and declined credit cards and returned checks to obtain current information

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; two years of College/technical School in job related studies preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience required, preferably in not-for-profit, healthcare or customer service fields.
