Job Title: Donor Relations Coordinator
Department: Development
Reports To: Donor Relations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Maintains database by entering new and updated donor and account information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
- Perform daily entry of revenue into donor database.
- Update donor information changes in database as received from donor, post office, and other sources.
- Responsible for opening, coding and preparation of daily mail for donation deposits, in conjunction with Finance staff.
- Compile data for database entry from mail, online and other sources.
- Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and standard operating procedures.
- Generate and mail donor acknowledgements according to development deadlines.
- Communicate with donors via phone, email and in-person interaction, and provide accurate information on donation related inquiries.
- Prepare mailing, email and/or telephone lists for various fundraising and marketing initiatives.
- Research potential donors and add prospects into database.
- Provide support to Donor Relations Manager for database management and maintenance.
- Responsible for providing detailed reports in compliance with deadlines.
- Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of donor information.
- Provide support to other development and marketing initiatives, as needed.
- Coordinate with Volunteer Program Manager to place, train, and manage donor relation volunteers.
- Maintains postage machine and supplies thereof.
- Responsible for donor relations supply ordering.
- Assists with special events, as needed.

- Supports the Animal Rescue League’s mission, policies, and practices.
- Provides accurate information to the public at all times.
- Must be willing to participate in meetings with management, Board, and shelter staff, to share ideas and suggestions designed to improve the organization's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must have demonstrated ability to communicate both in written and oral form.
- Must have transportation to meetings and events.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with Raisers Edge database, preferred.
- Bilingual, a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years experience working in business office setting.
