Application Specialist- Raiser Edge

Position Overview:
As a member of the data and database services team you will be responsible for data quality in the Raiser’s Edge database by ensuring consistency in data usage including user training, implementation of data standards, importing and exporting of data and completing ongoing data quality assurance tasks as well as supporting the identification and implementation of data processing efficiency methods. You will also be the first level of support to users of the database and related software as well as provide custom query and report services.

We are seeking a team-oriented problem solver who is detail oriented, a systematic thinker who enjoys working with data and is committed to data quality. You will be part of an internal Raiser’s Edge team that makes decisions related to the usage and field structure of the database to ensure the highest data quality possible as well as the optimum use of the data and the Raiser’s Edge application.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical language into lay terms and maintain and update documentation related to the Raiser’s Edge business rules as well as manage the central file system


Qualifications and Attributes:
  • College or University degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4 years’ experience with IT/IS application support,
  • A minimum of 3 years of in-depth hands-on Raiser’s Edge/CRM application experience
  • A working knowledge with The Raiser’s Edge version 7.96 (Mail, Query, Import, Export, Reports, Batch, Admin, and Default Sets) and its modules: Events, Tribute
  • Experience performing the functions in Raiser’s Edge like: Electronic File Transfer, Recurring Giving, Imports and Globally Change Records
  • Proficiency in MS Office 2013, Access 2013 or above and Power Query
Experience in the following are assets
  • VBA programming and MS SQL Query
  • PCI Security
  • Application experience with: Import-O-Matic, Remit SQL, AKA Raisin, Engaging Networks, Sophos, Syncovery and Mergician
