About the Position

This position provides administrative support to the Office of Philanthropy with specific attention to the Development Services and Donor Engagement teams.

Responsibilities

Development Services (55%)

  • Processes biographical donor record updates in the fundraising CRM (Raiser’s Edge)
  • Maintains lists and rosters in the database
  • Conducts proactive data integrity tasks (e.g., duplicate cleanup)
  • Runs giving reports for various departments
  • Produces daily admit report via Blackbaud’s Grateful Patient Solution/Wealth Point
  • Provides assistance with data clean up tasks
  • Assists special events team with event-related data entry
  • Provides back-up gift entry assistance at year-end

Donor Engagement/Annual Giving (20%)

  • Fulfills donor stewardship requests (e.g., parking cards, birthday cards)
  • Merges and sends acknowledgment letters
  • Conducts regular annual fund thank you calls

Office Administration (25%)

  • Primary point person for receiving and directing visitors and answering the main phone line
  • Successfully troubleshoots donor inquires and concerns
  • Maintains the office, including supplies and office appearance
  • Retrieves and distributes the mail
  • Provides limited administrative support to major gift officers

Qualifications

Education: Competent in written and spoken English. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience/Training: Minimum 5 years’ experience working in development or related field. 3 years of fundraising CRM experience preferred. Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including complex mail merging and advanced excel functionality, Successful experience working with high profile donors strongly preferred.
