Job Summary and Description
The Director of Scholarship Programs provides coordination and inclusive management of the Alamo Colleges District (ACD) scholarship program under the responsibility of the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement.


Responsibilities include managing the student scholarship award processes, preparing reports, collaborating and communicating with appropriate departmental, collegiate, and university offices, and serving student scholarship needs. The successful candidate will work as part of a diverse team dedicated to serving all ACD students. 


Reports to the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement.

 Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
  • Five years of administrative experience in institutional advancement, scholarship administration, financial aid and/or related work.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience in an institutional advancement office.
  • Work experience in higher education.
  • Prior recent Financial Aid and higher education experience. 
  • Prior recent proficiency in Blackbaud Awards Management System (formerly Academic Works). 
  • Prior experience working in an Institutional Advancement Office also preferred.  
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Must have a valid driver license. Must be insurable through the organization’s insurers.
