Coordinator of Constituency Information at Malone University
Options
The Malone University Advancement Office is conducting a search for a full-time Coordinator of Constituency Information. The Coordinator of Constituency Information will report to the Vice President for Advancement and is responsible for the data in the alumni and donor database, Raisers Edge. This includes working directly with the Director of Annual Giving on mailing lists for solicitations to various constituency groups, preparing letters and supporting documents for solicitations to various constituency groups, coordinating with outside mailing companies about our solicitations or mailings, providing alumni lists to various departments or groups within the university, providing financial updates and giving history of donors, providing financial updates on solicitations, providing financial updates and reports at the end of each month and fiscal year to Finance & Business Affairs to balance with the general ledger, providing end of fiscal year financial updates and reports to auditors, providing financial updates and reports at the end of each month and fiscal year to Advancement Staff, providing donor and alumni data to Provost, Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC), Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), and assisting the assistant coordinator of constituency information with their daily duties of processing donations and sending receipt thank you letters.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Exhibit a personal understanding of and operate in concert with the mission, doctrinal and Foundational Principles of the University and have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of people and cultures, and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. A demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently is essential. High school graduation is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications along with the ability to master new computer-based systems promptly and proficiently. Must have a current valid driver’s license as some local / regional travel will be necessary. Preferred: A bachelor’s degree is preferred along with experience in the higher education environment. Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and develop database methodologies, including data input and mining, sophisticated constituent database queries, etc. Experience in data input, researching individuals, foundation, and corporations in the public and/or private sectors for the purpose of updating constituency information for fundraising activities. The ability to coordinate multi-faceted projects with minimal supervision and high initiative in a deadline driven environment. A proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Attention to detail, excellent computer skills and a demonstrated ability in problem solving are necessary. Proven effective relational and collaborative skills are also essential. In particular, must become proficient in Raisers Edge and limited knowledge of Jenzabar, the university's proprietary database. A proven ability to maintain high levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality are essential. Hours per week are anticipated to vary based on the needs and fluctuations of the fundraising and events cycle. Occasional evening, weekend and commitments may be necessary at times.
