The Digital Fundraising Manager assists in developing, executing and analyzing integrated digital fundraising campaigns. This role will oversee the day-to-day management and implementation of digital fundraising campaign elements across channels, including but not limited to: email; donation page; website; paid and organic social; SEM. The Manager, Digital Fundraising will integrate insights from all channels and make strategic recommendations to grow digital fundraising in the US market.
REPORTING & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Manager, Digital Fundraising reports to the Associate Director, Donor Development and collaborates closely with the Associate Director, Global Communications as well as other Orbis Development and Communications staff. The Manager, Digital Fundraising regularly liaises with colleagues in New York, Orbis offices globally and outside vendors in carrying out job responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
· With internal team and outside vendors, manage the execution of individual fundraising campaigns ensuring project deadlines are met
· Work with Development team members to maintain master digital calendar and metrics dashboard
· Maintain year-to-year digital fundraising performance reports and create report narratives and analytics for each campaign
· Analyze campaign fundraising results, develop insights and make strategic recommendations to help reach fundraising targets
· Ensure seamless integration among Orbis system of digital products, and serve as liaison with suppliers
· Build and schedule fundraising and stewardship emails in Mailchimp
· Manage email list hygiene, growth, segmentation, and A/B testing
· Implement and optimize automated journeys and trigger-based email campaigns
· Track and report on metrics for email list growth and online engagement
· Create, maintain and improve online donation forms, online advocacy pages, peer-to-peer fundraising pages
· Maintain email list and ensure data hygiene from numerous online data sources
· Work with global Development and Communications staff on special projects, as necessary
· Monitor and optimize Development team pages on Orbis website
· Collaborate with Communications team to synchronize campaign messaging across channels
· Support digital campaigns developed by other members of the Development team, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· 3+ years of experience in digital marketing and fundraising
· Fundamental understanding of digital engagement and marketing best practices, including familiarity with journey-based email strategies, automation, segmentation, dynamic content and personalization, A/B testing, deliverability, email design, data hygiene and compliance
SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Experience using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Mailchimp, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, website CMS, Zapier
· Experience with HTML and CSS for email, familiarity with responsive design for email
· Excellent digital analytical and reporting skills
· Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Suite
· Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple complex tasks
· Extremely detail-oriented and able to ensure that deadlines and quality standards are met
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage deadline pressure
