Event Fees vs donations in RE NXT Events

Options
Hi, would appreciate advice from anyone skilled with RE NXT Events. Today when viewing a filtered participant list, with the only filter applied being "balance due", the list is completely incorrect. Many participants with a balance due are not listed, while several individuals who made contributions (who do not owe anything) ARE listed. These are the things that continue to send me back to database view, because NXT seems never to offer all of the needed functionality. What  might I be doing incorrectly? Thanks for any thoughts.

  • Hi! This is posted in Online Express. I'm going to move it to the forum titled "RENXT Events" - thanks!
  • Thanks! and I apologize. did not mean to post in the wrong category...
  • No worries! I just want to make sure the right community is looking at the question and answering. :-)

    Hi,

I'll try to help here, but we may need to connect off-community to see if we can figure out what's going. If you're filtering for participants with an open balance, this is looking directly at the registration fees paid that are linked to that participant for the event. Participants whose total registration fees paid is less than the amount of fees added should be included. This only looks at registration fee payments, it does not include gifts considered donations (currently those added on the donations tab of a registrant in database view.)

You can send me a screenshot of the filter results of the participant list (make sure you're including the registration fees and donations columns) and a screenshot of at least two participants that you would expect to show up using that filter and I'll take a closer look. If you'd feel more comfortable doing a screenshare, we can set that up too. Email me at samantha.mcguin@blackbaud.com. Thanks!
