Howdy all,

Just wanted to call your attention to our Gift notification workflow.

It's a great place to start if you're wondering:
  • What should I build with the Power Platform?
  • How do I build something on the Power Platform?
We'll be publishing more tutorials in the coming weeks, as well.

Thanks for joining the EAP and don't hesitate to provide any feedback/suggestions.

  • Hi Kody Jackson‍ ,

I just got done watching your Power Automate webinar from September 1, and successfully built along with you the gift notifications.  Well done and easy to follow along to.  This question may be a side note to that webinar, but you stated in your webinar you are more familiar with the ID of say the funds.  To find a fund ID I had to go to NXT and look at the URL to get the Fund ID's.  Can you guide us users who are front end database admins on where to find a list of the conversions of front facing fund ID's to the fund id found in NXT, same for campaign to campaign ID. i.e. Annual Appeal 2020, campaign ID in db view is ACA2020, in NXT it is 256.  Guessing this is a support question, but figured I would ask. Without having a list of the web ID's this would make any process more time consuming than need be.  Thanks!

  • Howdy Christine,

    Thanks for the kind words!

What I’d probably do is create specific queries around the entities that I’m looking to work with and include System Record ID as a field.

If you were to do this with funds, it’d look something like this:

  • Thanks Kody Jackson‍. Christine here again.... I was so appreciative to get to be part of the Citizen Developer 7 week training with Blackbaud. We have created a lot of great content. This is a simple question and may seem quite elementary, but I have several gift lists that have the output of Fund ID, but our Fund ID's do not match our Fund Description, and have Fund Description in the gift notification list would be better. I included a couple screenshots below, but was wondering if you could explain how I would get the fund description to show? I thought I would have to add the Get Fund to get specific information about the fund, but it does not show, and I only see the fund description when I list the funds, but we have 446 active funds and it has to loop through each one per gift. That does not sound very officiant. Your help is appreciated.

  • Hi Christine Prete‍,

I'm using the Get Fund action to return information about a single fund using the fund ID from a gift split. The output includes the Description, which is what I use in the notification.
  • Thank you Ben. Another source also confirmed what you said. Will give it a try!
  • This is great, thanks for sharing Christine Prete
  • @Kody Jackson When I clicked on the link it said that there was nothing there. Would you please share again…Thanks!

  • @Nicole Holt Thanks…I was looking for the gift notification workflow that @Test - Kody Jackson had posted. The link you gave me is very helpful as well!

  • @Carolyn Copp
I have a hunch that this links to the same info Kody posted above, just an updated URL. Happy exploring!

  • @Nicole Holt ooh…thanks…this looks good!
