Job Summary:
This position is an integral part of the Denver Health Foundation team and is responsible for the management and administration of the Foundation's constituent database, Raiser's Edge. This position is responsible for assisting the Foundation team in maximizing its fundraising and donor stewardship effectiveness. The Donor Database Supervisor will supervise the Foundation Data Entry Clerk; together, they will help develop and lead a culture of strong data collection and retention in service to strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Oversee gift and pledge processing to ensure sufficient, timely, and accurate data entry and timely production of donor acknowledgements.
Collaborate with fundraising team to understand data needs, track fundraising progress, analyze donor trends, and develop actionable insight.
Conduct comprehensive prospect research, and compile profiles to help inform donor strategy.
Create and run complex queries, reports, mailings and exports to support fundraising and outreach efforts on both a routine and as-needed basis.
Manage data import, data extraction, and data quality initiatives; troubleshoot and resolve emergent and existing data and database issues, including database integration issues.
Coordinate with Foundation's finance and accounting function to ensure gift data is properly recorded; support process of reconciliation between donor database and accounting database, on a regular basis.
Provide technical support and training to Foundation team to enhance end-user proficiency, including for annual giving, major individual giving, foundation and corporate fundraising, event management, and online engagement specifically with regard to fundraising and Raiser's Edge data interaction.
Actively participate as a member of the Denver Health Foundation team; attend donor events and Denver Health Foundation activities as appropriate and required.
Directly supervise data entry personnel, inclusive of providing annual performance appraisal and goal setting; assign duties, review work, coach for improvement.
With the aid of the Data Entry Clerk, establish and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and documentation, and train colleagues on same.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to accuracy and detail to ensure data integrity and quality.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to exercise judgement and maintain confidentiality, work independently and collaboratively, and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
Proficiency managing an integrated donor database, or customer relations management (CRM) tool required (with strong preference provided to those having effectively managed Raiser's Edge).
Education:
Associate's Degree required.
Experience:
Four years' experience in a development office environment or non-profit setting, inclusive of experience in prospect and constituent records management, data import/export actions, and developing standard and custom reports required. Experience with gift processing, posting, and reconciling with accounting partners. Experience synthesizing and disseminating information for audiences, inclusive of designing and producing dashboards and reports.
Credentials:
Applicants who are CFRE certified, or maintain bCRE credentials for Raiser's Edge, or Raiser's Edge NXT, are strongly preferred.
