The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore is seeking a customer-focused Database Manager, to juggle multiple projects and think strategically about ways to improve our ability to fundraise. His/her portfolio includes participating in Blackbaud Enterprise Constituent Relationship Management
 (CRM) planning meetings, work groups, and providing CRM user support throughout the organization.  The Database Manager will be charged with the responsibility of keeping data reasonably current by assigning clean-up issues to staff and scheduling appends, and phone and address corrections regularly.  

 
Tasks/Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the hosted CRM environments (Staging and Production) are maintained appropriately and participate in CRM workgroups as assigned


  • Maintain local BBEC environments necessary for testing, development, and upgrades 


  • Manage CRM user accounts and permissions associated with CRM security roles 


  • Set up, schedule, and monitor and improve CRM business processes, queues and data 


  • Investigate errors CRM users encounter and submit cases to JFNA CRM Support and Blackbaud Case Central and document issues 


  • Manage projects that plan, coordinate, test and communicate changes, upgrades/maintenance schedules and new features to super users 


  • Develop BBEC reports and customizations using SQL Server tools, Report Builder, Visual Studio and the BBEC SDK 


  • Train employees in the Donor Center on report writing skills in BBEC as needed 


  • Manage CRM upgrade projects and projects to convert other databases to BBEC 


  • Extract, transform and import data 


  • Provide customer support to the Donor Center and other Associated staff with special attention on the Finance department 


  • Monitor enhancement requests and issues submitted by other federations 

 
Skills/Requirements: 

  • BA degree in business, IT, MIS or related field of study  


  • 5 years of related experience; proven technical, analytical and mathematical skills


  • Intermediate to Advanced SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Access, OLAP, dashboards and general database management; Blackbaud ECRM experience a plus 


  • Hands‐on experience in process automation, best practice approach, technology efficiency, and effectiveness 


  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs 


  • Knowledge of data modeling and best practices in data visualization and business intelligence is a plus 


  • Able to work well in a team environment with a diverse group of people 


  • Strong oral and written communication skills
