Responsible for assisting and supporting the planning and implementation of a comprehensive program to sustain and expand philanthropic support for Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey through special events, annual giving and community outreach.

Responsibilities

  1. Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with coworkers.
  2. Assists Director of Special Events with the coordination of special event logistics as well as the day-of event set-up.
  3. Provides administrative support including development of event committee meeting materials, securing meeting rooms, agendas, minutes and correspondence, and slide show presentations.
  4. Assists in execution of special event mailings (invitations and sponsorship/underwriting packets), including targeted list development, mail merges and fulfillment.
  5. Assists with processing special event payments including sponsorships, registration fees, raffle tickets, auction items.
  6. Acts as a liaison with external vendors including printers, mail houses, event entertainment, etc.
  7. Maintains a tracking system/spread sheets for each event including payments and pledge schedule.
  8. Supports the Foundation in planning, implementing and evaluating all fundraising activities as needed.
  9. Actively responds to event inquiries via phone and email.
  10. Maintains relationships with outside vendors as needed such as florists, entertainment etc.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  2. 2-3 years of fundraising experience preferred
  3. Strong computer skills with thorough knowledge and application of MS Office products and database management software-Raiser’s Edge experience preferred
  4. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  5. Strong communication/organization/interpersonal skills with proofreading ability
  6. Willingness to travel to local offsite meetings and event locations
  7. Car and a valid driver’s license
