Job Opening: Membership Programs Specialist in Gatlinburg, TN

Great Smoky Mountains Association (GSMA) is seeking an experienced non-profit professional who is passionate about public lands to join their team as the next Membership Program Specialist. GSMA is fortunate to have over 33,000 individual members helping the organization achieve its mission of supporting Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Our members are the lifeblood of our organization and serve as stewards of America’s most visited national park.

 

Broadly, the Membership Program Specialist (MPS) will work closely with the Membership Director to develop and grow the organization’s membership programming. They will help manage our Altru database by processing member communications, registrations, renewals, upgrades, donations, and event ticketing and executing regular database maintenance tasks. The MPS will strive to realize retention and recruitment goals and oversee the syncing of membership information between internal systems.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in the review of data entry and database analytics. They should be comfortable providing exemplary customer service and working directly with members, donors, all levels of GSMA staff, and the Board of Directors. 


Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in business, fundraising or development, nonprofit management, or related field; two (2) years of experience in development, fundraising, or sales management; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Experience in Blackbaud's Altru or RE required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
