Webview Events form and Appeals

We are new to RENXT and want to do as much as possible through the webview, including our first event. We've tested a few registrations and the money is going to the right Campaign and Fund, but there's no way to tie it to an Appeal. According to Blackbaud and Appeal Record is: Appeals are the solicitations used to bring in gifts, such as through direct mailings, online donation pages, phonathons, auctions, or events. So why can't I tie the income coming in to an Appeal in webview? It should be easier them manually adding it before processing batches, or doing a global change afterwards. Seems this should be apart of setting up the event.
