If you are creating external content for Blackbaud, you must review and agree to the Universal Content Governance Framework.
HOW TO BECOME A BLOGGER:
- You must have your Blackbaud Community staff badge. If you have a Blackbaud.com email address, a staff role and badge will be assigned to you automatically.
- Read the contents of this page carefully.
- Join the Blackbaud Community Contributors Teams channel.
BLOGGING GUIDELINES:
- Add your desired publish date to the Blackbaud Community Contributors Teams calendar to avoid publishing on the same day as another blog in that product/solution Community. Recommendation: block 5 minutes of time and title your blog with the product name first.
- ALL blogs should be submitted in a Word format. You can submit it through this Asana form.
- Use brand compliant product and solution names by referring to the Brand Reference Tool. This includes registration and trademark symbols on first reference.
- Attach a headline image. You can find a library of images here that meet brand guidelines. The images in the library are the correct size and will work as the blog image. Please include the header image at the top of your Word document submission.

Writing Tips:
- Encourage engagement from your audience when applicable by including prompts such as: “tell us what you think,” “share your ideas,” or “what is a process that works for you?”
- Look for opportunities to Include call to actions that drive readers to other relevant Blackbaud resources such as webinars, eBooks, tip sheets, The Engage Blog or podcast episodes, etc.
- Sales pitches are not allowed within the Blackbaud Community. Blog posts need to provide value before pointing to any Blackbaud paid services.
