Add an option to search for event participant records when searching for a constituent. This would be similar to checking the "check contact name" option. It would be useful when searching for someone who may have a participant record for an event, but might not necessarily be a constituent yet. This would also be helpful when adding gifts in a gift batch for events so a duplicate participant record is not created.

    Great idea!  Don't know if it's feasible, but can't hurt to ask/suggest.  I just voted.

    It shouldn't be too difficult since Participant records are stored in the exact same table as everyone else ("Records" the database).  The trick is taking that non-Constituent and tying it back to the linked Event.  I've created a custom report that searches the Records table and then digs down to find all linked data (Relationships, Event participations, Spouses, etc.).


    Sadly, I don't anticipate ANY progress on Events or any of the optional modules until after RE is completely retired and everyone has been moved to NXT.
