HELP - Unable to merge records in RE since we integrated with Luminate

Options
Is anyone else having issues merging records in Raiser's Edge since they got Luminate?  We have been experiencing this since last spring and have been waiting for a resolution.  It happens in both one-offs and in the merge utility tool in Administration.  I get a few different error codes;

 1) This fund is not one of the funds designated for the specific campaign

2) Connection to Luminate Online could not be established.  The merge will be cancelled.  Object reference not set to an instance of an object

3) There was a problem merging in Luminate, the merge will be cancelled.  Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

In trying to find out what could be causing this, I found that when they did the initial sync to Luminate, 1/2 of our records in RE do not have a luminate ID number attached, but they are in Luminate with the RE ID number.  I thought maybe that was this issue, but not.  I can't merge records that are linked, not linked, half linked, etc.  I have so many files to merge since last April and it is driving me crazy and I am so frustrated with this!  HELP anyone!

Thank you.

  • Wow this sounds familiar, especially error 2 and 3 with regards to the mass merge utility. When we brought the issue to BB they concluded that the utility was working too quickly for our LO connection and it wasn't merging the records at all.  I'm unsure if there's a fix yet, but we stopped using the mass merge tool for the time being..

    Regarding one-by-one merging, the only time an issue comes up is when we try to merge a record that has an LO link with one that doesn't have an LO record synced with it. I'm not well versed in RE/LO integration but it's interesting that half of your records don't have the Luminate ID... Does information move freely between RE and LO for these records?

  • The data does flow from LO to RE and back.  It isn't only records that don't have the LO ID in one and not the other, or no LO in either, or LO is in both.  Yes, BB doesn't know why half my database doesn't have the LO ID in RE, but the RE ID is in LO.  So messed up and not being able to merge all these records is more of an issue.

    Well at least I'm not the only one who experienced this issue!  But still no resolution.

    Thank you.
