Help? How to Send an Annual Statement Email Blast!

Hi there!


I am trying to send all of our 2015 donors a custom email blast through NetCommunity.


I was able to figure out how to use a query to include all the custom fields we need (e.g., names, name of spouses, and total amount given in 2015). So the idea was that the email would just have one cumulative amount.


Then we realized that many of the gifts would include gala ticket purchases - which are not completely tax deductible. So the cumulative amount we would provide would actually not be the correct amount for their tax purposes.


I am wondering if anyone has been able to deal with this in an email blast before? I tried to create a table that would list all the 2015 gifts seperately, but for some reason only 1 gift would come up (despite the fact that many donors had more than one gift).


I would LOVE any thoughts or suggestions.

    Hi Mackenzie,


    Our work around for fields that cannot be puleld into NetCommunity emails is:

    -Export the data that you'll need for each constituent - in your case, receipt amounts for all gift in 2015.

    -Clean (and clean..then clean) in Excel.

    -Import as a constituent attribute. Which can be pulled in NetCommunity emails.

    Mackenzie, we do have a knowledgebase article that provides step on adding custom merge fields to an email located here: How to set up custom merge fields for email messages.


    As Issac advised, we would export all of our data to an Excel file, tidy it up, and then import it into NetCommunity using the guide above.
