Email Analytics

Is there a way to view all email performance at once, or download a PDF, etc? I am trying to analyze all emails for 2015, and currently have to click through a box several times to view info for each email. I would really prefer to just print the information at once, but I can't figure out if there is a way to do that. Thanks!

  • You may be able to query in RE from the netcommunity tab on open rates there
  • There isn't a way to download or print a stats report from OLX.  It's a great idea, though!

I would love to see a Reporting Portal in OLX to pull lots of different stats and comparisons without needing to either open up each message or use the somewhat cumbersome [View All Messages] link that only shows 4 messages at a time.  Please put together a good description of what you'd want to see and post it in the OLX Idea Bank.  Then come back here and post a link so others (like me!) can go vote for the idea.

For now, depending on what you need to report on, you can go thru each message and push the data to RE, then use the Appeal data/reports to look at your results.  You can push the data over within an hour or so of sending the message, and so long as you don't edit the Appeal ID, you can do a refresh push as often as you want...OLX/RE will update the Appeal Tag Response Field but not add duplicates.  If you haven't done this yet, the Comment Field shows you which email address the message was sent to, and the Response Field shows you the furthest action that the recipient took (Received, Opened, Clicked, Gave, Bounced, Opted-Out).  One caution: if you're on RE:7.95 and have allowed multiple Phone Types, OLX will only add an Appeal Tag for one email address of each Phone Type even if the message was sent to both.  This can skew some of your reporting (and I don't recall if changing the Phone Type after sending the message and then repushing the data will fix it or not).
  • I'd certainly vote for this too!

When I've sent six versions of messages to six different queried lists, it's a real pain to get the stats on each one--especially since I can't give them revealing names in the system apart from subject lines.

I have to keep a list of subject lines--some of which differ only in, for example, the capitalization (or not) of a certain word--and the lists they went to . . . and then go through multiple screens to get analytics.

    Sheesh.
  • Mary:  I did discover that you can add Attributes, Actions, Categories, etc. to the Appeal Records.  Even contemplated manually copying over the stats from OLX to the Appeal Record, but haven't quite made that leap yet.  The only field you can't change is the Appeal ID.  You can change the Appeal Description from the Subject Line to something else...if it weren't for the fact that I prefer Appeal ID for ease of data entry, I'd do that to keep everything organized and move the subject line text to another field in the Appeal Record.
  • Thanks!
