Reprinting Tax Receipts Originally Issued From Income Manager - Question of Best Practices

Our Canadian organization recently moved from using Income Manager to Raiser's Edge. In the near future, I forsee an issue that I'm hoping that someone in our community can help guide us through - ideas or best practices that their own organization follows?



The issue: Reissuing receipts with the same receipt number come the new year. We receive several calls and emails from our donors asking us to resend their paper receipts come the tax season. It is my understanding that you cannot reprint tax receipts from RE that orginated from a different software.



Can anyone provide insight into the best way to handle this?

    You should be able to go into any Gift in RE (even one imported from another system) and change the Gift from "Receipted" to "Not Receipted" and reprint receipts.

    Hilarious. How simple! When I asked Support the support provided was a suggestion to contact the community.
