Adding a Birth Year to the Raiser's Edge Birthdate Field via Import

I'm surprised it won't let you import the year alone via import. Does your instance of RE allow you to enter just the birth year when editing a constituent record manually? Mine handles that with no problem, so I'm wondering if there's a setting somewhere that allows for this. I didn't do the initial setup for RE at my current job, so I'm not sure if that's an option that exists somewhere - I didn't find anything obvious when looking through config.

There is no setting, but this was a field-type change from (I think) 7.92 to 7.93.  The field will now allow month/day, year, month/year, or the full month/day/year.  If Import is not allowing this, could it be a setting in the Import file (i.e. the csv file you are trying to import from)?  Otherwise, it may be something that never got adjusted when that field-type change was made.  In which case, I would suggest that you open a case in Case Central about this, and someone will investigate to determine if this is a problem within RE Import or within your specific database, or something else altogether.  If I have a chance tonight, I will try such an Import and see what happens.
