Would you please add the Student’s Name and Grade Applying For as a Choice of Fields to Insert…

Many parents have more than one student at the school and it helps if the student’s name can be on the Acknowledgement email for both the Application Form as well as the Registration Form.

Hello Wanda and Kim,

This all really relates to where the merge fields are being pulled from in the system. The merge fields are coded to use the billing information for the form. Since only the parent’s information (or student’s information for higher Ed) is being used for billing, that is what we are able to pull for the acknowledgement emails.

After careful consideration we have determined that this issue will not be addressed in the current version of The Education Edge/Blackbaud NetCommunity. The Product Development team will be focusing efforts in other existing areas of the product, as well as new feature development.

It can be confusing for parents with multiple kids but there is a link merge field that can be added “Link to Download/View Form” so that they can see which form it was for. I understand putting the name in there is the easiest option for you if available but the parents can definitely use this to avoid confusion.
