Recurring donations - to debit the fist gift at sign up as cash

Hi,

We have recently launched our monthly donation program. For online donors a donation form has been created in OLE. We want to debit the first gift at the time of sign up (if donor registers before 15th of the month) as a cash gift. We have explained that in our thank you note as well but need to know how to process that first gift as we do not have thier cc number. Is there any option in OLE to do that?

If donor signs up on 15th or later the first gift will be debited as recurring gift pay cash on first of the following month.

Is there a possiblity to charge the first gift as cash for donors who sign up before 15th of the month?

    I don't think you can change it to cash as an option currently. However, you might be able to manually work around the situation by editing the gift dates under "Schedule", or else Rollback Transaction in the gift record, so that the gift becomes due that same day and you can manually pull and process the EFT transaction. If that is too inconvenient for you due to volume of gifts, I would recommend modifying your thank-you letter to reflect the inconvenient reality of the system.
