Copy and Paste in Query

Options
Does anyone have a smart solution for copy and pasting fields into RE Query when the "one of" operator is being used? I know how to do this with Constituent ID's, but would like to see similar functionality with other basic RE ID fields (such as Fund ID). Thank you!

As you said works great with constituent IDs.  But don't see how you can use with Fund IDs.  But selecting them is not that hard if you select the one of and click on the binoculars you can click and add the desired funds fairly easy.

Don't know why user doesn't have option to paste in like you can with constit IDs - probably a one-to-many issue.

If no responses to the post, I'd ask support. Maybe it's a suggestion for future updates to software??

  • Searching for something else related to Fund IDs and came across this post. I use SmartPaste, a free tool from SmartThing. https://www.smartthing.org/portfolio/smartpaste/

It works great for any field in which you need to paste a list!
  • I've just installed SmartPaste but I'm having trouble with it - I don't get the Paste List button on the criteria screen, and when I try and use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+V it tells me it's about to paste 590 values but then comes up with an error message "New edit field criteria box did not appear"

Has anyone had a similar problem? I've logged it with SmartThing but they want to have remote access to my PC to try and diagnose the problem, which I'm not comfortable with (I don't think our IT department would be overjoyed either).
  • Does SnartThing work on a Mac?
