How to allow payment of Additional Donations only on registration page, in case they can't attend.

On an Event Registration Page, is it possible to allow guests to only make an additional donation and not actually register for the event? If so, How?! My page keeps saying error, you must have at least 1 register.

    One way I've gotten this to work in the past was to create a zero cost registration option that I named - "Sorry I cannot attend" - or something like that.  Then people could give a true RSVP and also make a donation if they wished.  Granted - this was in NetCommunity - I'm assuming that the option to make an additional donation with an event was not lost within Online Express Events.  



    One drawback to creating this option - it has the potential to "inflate" your registration numbers within the Event Module.  I used a Status of "Not Attending" for all the people who registered for the event in this way.  That way I could quickly filter them out of the view when opening the event.
