importing records temporarily in RE for OLX lists

Hi gang!



This question came in on the Preparing for #GT webinar yesterday and we thought someone in the community might be able to help: 



"we are a hospital and would like to import patients to RE temporarily in order to email them - how do you suggest doing this?  Should we simply import them with names and emails using a constitiuent code of GivingTuesday?  We can then remove them if they do not give a gift. Any suggestions are appreciated!"



Has anyone had a similiar scenario and have a great suggestion?  We would love to know.

    We don't import tempoprary people. If we have an outside list of prospects, we have our mailhouse merge it with our mailing list. We are trying to keep nonactive clutter to a minimum.



    ImpotOmatic has an option to do imports that do not "live" in RE. The add-on is called "List Management." I've been lobbying hard for it, but don't have any expirience with it. Thought it was worth a mention.

    We don't import temporary records, but could those email addresses live on one Dummy Records?  I know that you can now have (7.94+) multiple phone numbers (or email addresses) with the same Phone Type, and OLX will send to all of them, even though (last I checked) it will only record one of each Phone Type on the Appeal Tab if you push the data from OLX to RE after you send the message.



    Might be worth a test, or asking if there is a limit to the number of "phones" allowed on one record all with the same Phone Type.
