Gift ranges instead of fixed amounts

Options
Is there any way to use a gift range instead of a firm dollar amount on the donor form? Our athletic department offers rewards for gifts within certain dollar ranges and we would like their donor form to offer that option.

Hi Joanne. The donation form is designed to process gift transactions, so it needs a fixed gift amount to process. You could certainly add text or attributes to select rewards, but it would be up to the user to select the appropriate attribute.

You could also include text on the suggested gift values to help guide the user.
  • Thanks Matt. I have added text and hope that it is easy for donors to understand. Our campus athletic club has always had giving levels of 50-99, 100-199 etc. They offered incentives for each giving level and wanted the donor page to have the same feel.

Cool. I would suggest putting the suggested gift amounts with descriptions at the lower limits. For example, have $50 - Reward 1, $100 - Reward 2, etc.

This way, if someone gives $50 or $99, it's clear they won't get the $100 reward but instead the first reward.
