Capture Guest Information at a Special Event

Hi All!  I was just wondering how you capture a guest's contact information at a special event?  We have a gala every year with over 800 guests and would like to somehow capture this.  We used the Events App for iPad this year, which was great!  We added all the guest names into RE, unfortunately, we were just given names and often times we do not even know their company.

  • We have much of the same issue here at the Computer History Museum. We fail to capture the information of exhibition attendees and event attendees besides a name. I'd like to hear what other practices organizations are using to capture more info at events, gala's, and Museum exhibitions.

    Yes, we used the RE Events App for iPad.  We added all the guest names in the RE Events Module prior to the event, but just the names.  We linked as many guests with their constituent record in RE, but since it was such a large number of people, the majority of guests are new.



    I was just wondering if people use an app, giveaways, etc. to capture the guest's address, phone number, and email?  We do not have a silent auction so that limits our success.
  • We do the same thing. It would be great if Blackbaud could modify their ap to include the ability to capture address updates in the Events app.

    Great point, Shellie. I would encourage you to visit the ideas section of the community and add your idea for our app development.
