Tracking Planned Giving

Currently we're tracking our planned giving as pledges in RE.  In the hopes of finding a better more efficient way to track planned gifts. I wanted to see how others are tracking their planned gifts. We do not have the Planned Gift Tracker.  I know there may be forums on this topic but I wanted to ask anyway. Thanks in Advance

I know many who use a proposal to track a planned giving solicitation. Once a planned gift is realized, it is difficult without the planned gift tracker to get all of the proper information about the gift in any good way other than a series of gift attributes. Even then, those do not translate well when booking the gift with finance.

 What gift attributes would you recommend using/creating if using proposals to track planned gifts?  We do not have the planned gift tracker.

My organization is trying to figure out how to best track our planned giving as well. We are using the prospect tab with an active proposal for planned givers but once we have something in writing for a future gift we are thinking about using a gift type of planned gift, with the amount of 0.00 so that we can track our legacy society better. I am hoping this community can give me feedback about pros and cons, and what to think about longterm for using this gift type to track planned givers. Does any organization do this currently? I welcome your thoughts, Thank you!
