Exporting guests and guest units

Options
Hello, We have an event on NetCommunity right now in which people can buy up to 4 adult tickets and 4 student tickets. I would like to do an export that just tells me how many adult tickets and how many student tickets that person bought. Is there any way to do that? All I can figure out how to do is export out the registrant's name, the unit of ticket they bought for themself, their guest's names and the registration fees associated with each guest. I can't even export the guest's unit. Is there a way to do any of this? Thanks! Heath

You should be able to run a Participant query using the event ID and the participant type as the criteria. Then do an export with the participants name and under registration fees choose unit and no. units. We do something similar here.

Are you using constituent or participant export?

We use participant export for this particular list.

Sorry, I was directing that question toward Heath.  I suspect that the problem may be that they are using a constituent export and not participant.

Hello - sorry for the long time since posting. I forgot to look for answers! I'm using a participant query (and export) with the only criteria as event ID. In my current export, I'm pulling out \\** Date Paid Name No. of Guests Registration fees gifts Fees gifts Gift Amount Registration Fees Unit (which only gives me the unit of the person who booked) Gift Amount Guests Amount Paid (which is the only way I can find to indicate what unit they are) Name **/ I can't seem to find a way to just have one column with # of unit 1 and # of unit 2. We're doing this because part of our organisation has decided to mail hard copy tickets to each booker, but right now, using our current export method, they're having to count each guest (as well as note the cost paid for each guest to determine whether it's a student or adult ticket), as well as look at the Registration Fee Unit to determine whether the booker booked for themselves. There must be a better way to do this! Thanks much!

I could not find a way to get all of the information in a regular canned report or via Export so I had a report created in Crystal Reports. It is great! It provides the name of the person that is attending, the name of the guest, how much they paid, what events they are attending, - - - - works! So, bottom line, I would recommend having a report made in Crystal that gives you all of the information you want.
