Duplicate Report?

Options

Is there any way to pull a report of all the duplicate email records in our Convio system? We're thinking of turning on duplicate capabilities for Team Raiser and want to check to make sure we dont see duplicates come in elsewhere. Thanks!

    I'd like to start by asking, why you feel you need to turn on the ability to create duplicates?  If you want to see how many duplicates you have you can look at the last option under "Data Management". Click the "Duplicate Management" link and it will show you everything about duplicates in your system.

    Please let me know what is happening in your TeamRaiser registration flow that is making you consider allowing duplicates. I think I may already know but just want to confirm before I respond with a long reply.

    Thanks for your response! We feel the need to turn on duplicates because without them, people who may have interacted with our website or made a donation in the past have an account and password and don't even realize it. So when they go to register for the PETA Pack TeamRaiser team and go to create an account and password, it gives them an error message saying they already have one - which will likely confuse them. Then they would need to go through the "forgot password" process -- all before even signing up. It's a pretty significant barrier of entry, and not something we want people to experience when they first want to join the team. Any advice would be much appreciated!

    The link in this reply no longer works.  We are testing TeamRaiser now in preparation for our first event and testers are creating all sorts of duplicates.  Love to learn more about what you consider best practices for how to prevent them.
