Guest book option for TeamRaiser?

Options

Is there a compnent in TeamRaiser that allows you to add a guest book or area where page donors can leave a note that scrolls on the wall of the Personal Page?

  • Hi Katherine,

From what I gather there is nothing in Luminate that allows you to do this.  A colleague told me about another option that they use for one of their events, which is called Disqus (https://disqus.com/).  You create a free account and then you set everything up and it gives you a snippet of code that you insert in the backend.  I have started this process for our event, but I have not had a chance to test it yet so I am not sure how it works.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

I can't imagine many people taking the time to create a Discus account for that.

You might be able to do something with a Luminate survey, but that would probably mean seeing the results on a static page rather than in a nice scroller.

Guestbooks are a pretty 1990s idea. I don't see that much anymore.

    HA! I love the 1990s reference. :-)

For more of a "2015" option - I would suggest putting Facebook commenting on your personal pages.

It's a fabulous way to get friends to comment on their personal page AND (best part) it will show up on the commenter's Facebook feed! Talk about a great way to have a conversation being started on your site and Facebook.

I believe the Disqus tool integrats with social media as well.
