Ascension Texas Foundations, including Dell Children’s Foundation, Seton Hays Foundation, Seton Williamson Foundation, The Seton Fund, including Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, and Providence Foundation, is hiring a Director of Database Management for all fundraising software platforms, including Raiser’s Edge, RE NXT, Luminate Online, and ResearchPoint. The ideal candidate will understand the relationship between data capturing accuracy and donor/fundraiser relationship building, the importance of data collection best practices, and will be capable of communicating with teammates to ensure correct usage of platforms while maximizing its functionalities and helping to meet the organization’s revenue goals. This is a full-time position with remote flexibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge database and NXT views, Luminate, ResearchPoint/Wealthpoint, along with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • An understanding of the healthcare fundraising and donor solicitation cycle.
  • Demonstrated project management and problem solving skills, including organizational skills to meet goals and objectives through effective program and project planning
  • Strong analytical skills; able to manipulate, analyze and synthesize data and present findings that are clear and actionable
  • Grateful patient program experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Participate in fundraising campaigns, grant administration, major gift and/or charitable
development programs.

  • Database management for all fundraising platforms, including Luminate Online (LO), Raiser’s Edge (RE), ResearchPoint (RP), and RE NXT and reporting.
  • Strategically assess and lead data best practices across foundations to streamline and optimize database management.
  • Partners with Leadership, Development, Operations and Prospect Management teams to best analyze and utilize data to create strategies for continued revenue growth.
  • Cross-functional communication between leadership, operations, strategy and development teams to facilitate mass fundraising data import and export projects and initiatives.
  • Management of all database configurations, including annual fundraising campaigns, deceased record updates, address updates, etc.
  • Continuous contribution of insight for all major changes and updates in database processes and workflows
  • Manage the implementation and integration of new or upgraded database technologies, including but not limited to: online giving, list/email management, Import-O-Matic and RE NXT modules
  • Establish and maintain unified systems of recording and tracking constituent actions, appeals, contacts and events across institutional departments.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop reporting tools for constituent management and financial analysis
  • Oversee the fulfillment of requests for data, including: mailing lists for events and appeals, constituent management analysis, and other operational needs. Liaising with various external partners, including recurring meetings with various Direct Mail program vendors
  • Support data integrity, cleanup and duplicate control projects and processes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of information shared between databases
  • Create, communicate and maintain a comprehensive manual of institutional database policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices
  • Train new and current staff in the proper use of Raiser's Edge NXT database, encouraging consistent and accurate entry of constituent information.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

Work Experience: 3 years of experience preferred.
