Unfortunately, Convio doesn't have an easy "out-of-the-box" solution for doing this in your eCRM tools. I could dream up some ways of making it happen, but it would be complicated and hard to manage.

I've had clients use www.cMarket.com - a Convio partner. They're exclusively non-profit focused and can help you reach a broader audience with your auction. The clients I've worked with have liked their tools, but had modest success.

If cMarket isn't the right fit, I would seriously consider www.eBayGivingWorks.com. Now, I've never had a client use GivingWorks, but eBay is the leader in online auctions and this is an eBay initiative dedicated specifically to letting people auction goods to support your cause. It's a bit more de-centralized in its a approach than cMarket. Where you run the auction in cMarket, supporters can auction their items for you in GivingWorks (once you're certified for the program).
