Archiving emails for access by constituents

Options

I'd like to create an archive of past newsletters on my web site for constituents to read. Can Convio turn an e-newsletter into a web page, which I can then link on my web site? Or is there another way to give constituents access to old newsletters?

  • I'll admit that we haven't actually set this up yet, but from what I gathered from asking around about doing this, it's possible with a little work.

First, you need to make sure "Enable web viewing of messages" is turned on for the email campaign you want to archive. You can do that by navigating to Email -> Email Campaigns -> Campaigns (tab) -> Edit (Actions) -> 3. Setup Optional Features for this Campaign (Process Navigator).

Now that your individual emails are viewable as a web page, you need to create a PageBuilder page to display the email messages. Each email message is available as a Link in the WYSIWYG editor.

I should credit Sierra Club for parts of this idea. Here's one of their archive pages: http://action.sierraclub.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ArchiveInsider

    Good luck.

Thanks for your help. This worked.

One more question... I see that the newsletter is automatically enclosed in the default page wrapper. Is there any way to change the page wrapper?
