Need E-Card Solution

Options

Does anyone out there have a good system for online donations/e-cards--either with a Convio product or a third party system? Currently I'm on Common Ground Enterprise (Luminate CRM) and use Network for Good for online donations.

I'm looking for something automated where donors can choose from multiple e-cards and have the option to schedule the e-card to go out at a later date.

Something like this: http://ecards.womenforwomen.org/

Any advice on e-cards would help.

Thanks!

    Hi Heather,

So do you use Luminate Online for donations at all? Our donation forms allow your donors to send ecards and even allows you to schedule the date you want the card to be sent on. Here is an example of one of our client's sites where they offer ecards with the donation form: https://secure3.convio.net/carter/site/Donation2?1560.donation=form1&df_id=1560

If you don't use our donation forms and want to talk about getting this functionality you can contact your Account Manager.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Kent! I'm a bit confused about products though--what's the difference between Luminate Online and Common Ground Fundraising? Does Luminate Online integrate with Common Ground in the same way? (Sorry if this is something better answered by an account manager... just let me know and I will pester them to explain it to me.)

    Hi Heather,

I'm sorry for the confusion. I didn't look at your client record before to see what products you have. I now see that you don't have any of our Luminate Online products which is the online donor management tool that we have. Luminate Online is actually the first product that Convio had before Luminate CRM/Common Ground. Luminate Online is where we have our email tools, donation forms and other online constituent management and interaction managing tools. In our Luminate Online product we do have ecards that stand alone for email campaigns where you can just ask people to send ecards or you can even integrate ecards into Tribute gifts.

If you're interested in knowing more about our Luminate Online products you can email accountmanagement@convio.com and someone on your AM team can definitely help you.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what ecard tools work well with the Network for Good donation forms. I've actually never worked with a client with your setup. But I bet one of your AM team members can help you since they are more aware of what other clients are using.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

  • Hi Kent,

Within the Luminate Donation Form, https://secure3.convio.net/carter/site/Donation2?1560.donation=form1&df_id=1560 the ecard options are very clearly setup with a header above each option. Where in the donation page is this done? Is done done within page builder or created as a custom element in when designing a donor screen?

Is there also a way within a general donation form to click the option Yes I would like to send an e-card, and once selected, the form populates the required e-card fields rather than having it already in the form (similar to when an Org makes a gift).

    Thanks!
  • hey Rumsha Khan‍ - once Ecards are created in the system, they can be made available on donation forms by adding an ecard selection element to the donation form.

I'm a little unclear what you're looking to populate based on the 'yes' checkbox - though any of the elements could be done so with some additional JavaScript on the form (so, a slight customization)
