LO pageviews in Google Analytics

Options
We are using LO donation forms and we have turned on the site option for Google Analytics.

Here's a screenshot of Google Analytics. This is November, where I searched for 1400, or our basic donation form ID.

These 10 results pop up, and I'm not sure how to count the true Pageviews since this seems to be counting different parts of the donation form. Is there a norm other LO customers use to define this number? Just keep it simple...use 125? Or use the top result...80? Does anyone know how to decipher these URLs anyway, and maybe determine which are most likely to be the 1st donation screen?

  • Hi Kelly,

    We have created a new view in our Google Analytics account where we have ignored a bunch of parameters from the view settings such as Nonce_Token, fb_clid, jsessionid etc which gives us a good sense of page views as the data is a lot cleaner. Based on the form you have, you can create a destination goal as well to see how many people landed on the form and actually converted.

    Below are the URL parameters to look for:

    1. donation=form1 - Is the first page of the form

    2. donation=completed is the thank you page

    3. There could be more intermediate pages if you have a multi-step form

  • I use the total pageviews (the big top number) when searching for the following, where XXXX is the donation form ID:

    XXXX.donation=form1 (form page)

    XXXX.donation=completed (confirmation page)
