OLX Designation (Other) - making it a required field

Options
We are moving from BBNC to OLX and when setting up our fund designation drop down, we want to include Other, but the field that opens up when the donor chooses Other clearly states "Optional". We want to make this field required like we did in BBNC, so the donor is required to type in what their Other designation is. How do I (can I) do that?

  • Hi Amber Gichard‍. Unless you're seeing other behavior, that field where donors would enter the details about the designation of their choosing should actually be required (despite the fact that the word "optional" appears in the placeholder text). I just confirmed this locally and saw this when trying to submit a gift after having chosen the "Other" option in the fund list but leaving the text field blank:

We'll see about removing that text that says "optional" to reduce confusion.

    Thanks Amber,
