Phone Numbers not showing up in export

I have two exports today where all is well, except the phone numbers/email address will not show up.  It is only occurring on exports created today as best i can tell.  I checked my criteria but have come up with no reason for the lack of data yet.

    I checked one query and they do not... going to check another.  Edit:  They are not showing up in either query.

    It has to do with using specific phone types.  In query and export, the phones show up if I use the general category.   I'm looking at it further now.

    In Export, you can pick what kind of phone type to include and how to group them and in what order. I tend to pull the phone number and the phone type so you or the person requesting the information can determine what type of phone is being shown.

    I export using criteria for each type in a separate Phones field and change the heading to match the phone type.   So I have Phones, Phones2, Phones3, etc... with headings of Mailing, Cell, etc..

    Today is the first time in a year and half that phone numbers turned up blank.   

    The oddest part is it is only in exports/queries as of today.  Other exports/queries work as the always have.

    Wow! That's crazy. In your export, instead of pulling from the query you've selected, have it use a single record that you know has at least one phone number and type. If it doesn't show the phone number, I'd re-boot and try again. Then I'd be reaching out to Blackbaud. Something is obviously not right if it is showing phone numbers in exports that you created on days other than today.

    Yea, I tried it right away with just my ID and no luck.  I tried the reboot and still the same issue.  It's really odd.  I can add in a separate phone field Phones4, and choose to export 2 phones without specifying which type, and it all shows up fine.   Right next to it, the phone fields with a type specified, do not show anything.


    Well,  off to support. :)

    Mark Guncheon‍  I spent some time with the blackbaud 'tech' and we didn't find anything out of the ordinary.  This morning I built a new export to be certain the issue still existed.  Well,  when choosing my phone types, I accidentally scrolled down the list (the tiny windows they give for selecting choices are ridiculous).  I found there were duplicate Phone Types offered for Email, Mailing, Cellular.  Somehow, these were created in the configuration table for Phone Type.


    I can now choose the correct Email, Cell, Mailing type and get my numbers.  But, now the issue is this... How did the dupes get in the config table?  How can I find out how they were created?   I can only think a process, or program, is doing this but how to find out?   So, that is where my case with blackbaud is at now.

    Just FYI: Virginia (Ginger) Waite is no longer with Madonna Foundation.  You can remove this issue, and remove her name from your system.

    Larry, glad you figured out the duplicates but now you have that issue. Are they exact duplicates or is there spacing that makes them just a little different? Very odd.

    Larry, please update us with what support says! This is such an oddball issue, but I bet knowing how that happened would be good to know for future RE tantrums. :-)

    Good catch Mark Guncheon‍ !   There is a space before the word.  I can now delete the offending entries, but I will wait for now.  Blackbaud devs may need those left in the table so they can find out what put them there.

    Those darn spaces!  Sometimes people make table entries to 2 spaces in between words instead of 1 and that is difficult to see. People, myself included, need to take their time entering data.
